CarFixWORLD, an automotive industry event scheduled for Toronto, Canada for Fall of 2006, has added a third day to accomodate students and automotive apprentices.
The addition was at the urging of CarFixWORLD’s industry advisory board.
The board met for the first time in December, 2005 and made a number of recommendations to the management of the show which will result in several enhancements to the show.
The most significant proposed idea, which has now been incorporated into the show’s schedule, is an additional day aimed primarily at students and apprentices.
The added day is Friday September 29, 2005 making the show into a three-day event running to Sunday, October 1. The goal is to provide the student/apprentice community with access to CarFixWORLD’s training and clinic line-up as well as create access to employment opportunities, right at the show.
The feeling of the advisory board is that a Friday schedule facilitates student attendance and by working closely with schools including providing transportation and prize incentives, participation will be extensive.
The board agreed that exposure to the latest products, tools and technologies highly valuable to the automotive student or apprentice as well as any undecided student considering a career in the industry.
Carol Bell-LeNoury, general manager of Events for the Business Information Group welcomes the industry’s input, noting that CarFixWORLD will showcase the vibrancy and excitement of the industry thanks to the show’s busy schedule of clinics, demonstrations and special attractions.
The advisory board also discussed potential topics for inclusion in the show’s training and clinic schedule as well as suggesting speakers who would bring relevant topics to life in an entertaining and authoritative way. The show’s management is now working to incorporate the many excellent suggestions into the event’s three-day calendar and will publish details as they are scheduled.
Regular meetings of the board are planned with the next scheduled for March.
“With this input, our show will certainly provide three fascinating days for the entire industry,” Bell-LeNoury confirms.
