Dynetek Industries of Calgary, Alta., has announced its involvement with the Stuart Energy intelligent hydrogen fueling station sold to Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., as announced earlier by Stuart Energy Systems Corporation of Mississauga, Ontario.
Dynetek supplied the stationary compressed hydrogen storage system to Stuart Energy as part of its patented intelligent hydrogen fueling station, CF-450, installed at Toyota’s headquarters in Torrance, Calif. Toyota chose Stuart Energy to provide on-site hydrogen fueling infrastructure to support their new fuel cell vehicle rollout.
Robb Thompson, Dynetek’s president and CEO, said of the project “We are happy to supply Stuart Energy with our hydrogen storage system for their fueling stations, and we look forward to working with them on many more hydrogen projects.”
“At Stuart Energy, we are committed to developing and delivering hydrogen infrastructure products,” said Jon Slangerup, president and CEO of Stuart Energy. “Hydrogen storage is an integral component of both our hydrogen fueling stations and our backup-power systems. We have worked with Dynetek on a number of projects and have been pleased with their ability to deliver quality products. We look forward to continuing our relationship with them.”
The station is capable of dispensing hydrogen at 3,600 psi as well as 5,000 psi and allows for Toyota’s fuel cell vehicles to be filled as fast as a gasoline vehicle. Dynetek also supplied Stuart Energy with stationary hydrogen storage for their hydrogen fueling station in Richmond, Calif., where California Fuel Cell Partnership members fill their fuel cell vehicles on demonstration runs between Sacramento and Richmond. The California Fuel Cell Partnership demonstrates and tests fuel cell vehicles and related products in real day-to- day conditions.
