ARA hosting consultation for B.C.…

ARA hosting consultation for B.C. shop owners and managers with the ITA

ARA members are invited to attend a consultation facilitated by the Industry Training Authority (ITA).

This consultation will take place on November 25, 2014. The location will be determined once we have received the RSVPs.

The Automotive Retailers Association (ARA) and the New Car Dealers Association (NCDA) of BC have been consulted by the ITA. The two associations have agreed to initiate the process of consultations with the automotive industry and, following the consultation, to develop a proposal to the ITA for the establishment of the Automotive SAG.

The associations have organized a consultation process on November 25 to get industry input on the establishment of the SAG and will make a recommendation to the ITA by way of a written submission in early December. The consultation will be facilitated by representatives from the ITA.

Industry is encouraged to participate in this industry consultation. It is critical that we ensure that the Automotive SAG is populated with the right ambassadors from industry to ensure automotive trades training is well looked after to accommodate the industry needs that we all know will continue to grow.

The consultation location (in the lower mainland) will be determined once we know how many people plan to participate, so please RSVP your participation to Megan Hooge at MeganHooge@ara.bc.ca by Wednesday, November 19, 2014.

If you are out of town and cannot travel to participate in person, please email Megan and let her know you will require the dial-in coordinates so that you can participate by conference call.
