The Automotive Industries Association of Canada is pleased to announce the 2011 winners of the Marion Roberts and the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Awards. Thanks to the two awards, 43 young adults will be better able to pursue the career of their choice. AIA offers four distinct scholarships – all founded in order to reach out to a different type of student, and to encourage careers in the automotive aftermarket industry.
“As a national association, AIA is proud to be able to offer these scholarships,” says AIA president Marc Brazeau. “AIA Canada is committed to building a prosperous future for the automotive aftermarket industry, and for Canada, as a whole.”
The AIA/Marion Roberts Memorial Scholarship Awards were developed by the Automotive Industries Association of Canada to provide financial assistance to enable students to further their education at the post secondary school level. The scholarships honour Marion Roberts, a long-time staff member of the Association’s head office in Ottawa.
The GAAS program was launched by several US trade associations to raise scholarship money to support deserving secondary students, college, and university students who want to pursue a career in the automotive aftermarket.
