In an effort to spur development of next-gen repair shops and diagnostic equipment, Mahle Service Solutions is partnering with the company’s Engine Components business and moving production from York, Pa., to a shared facility in St. Johns, Mich.
Mahle said in an announcement that the move will be done by the end of this year and will boost company profit from organizational synergies. The increased development will help improve customer service experience and increase overall efficiency, it added.
Mahle’s Pro series of shop tool and equipment products will be assembled at the new facility in St. Johns – ArcticPro, FluidPro and NirtoPro.
The location is a well-established Tier 1 Mahle facility, said Rich Wolf, general manager at Mahle Service Solutions, and it brings its brands under one roof, allowing for better customer service and support.
“This new facility reinforces our market offerings that provide outstanding customer value, less downtime and a low total cost of ownership over the lifetime of each product,” he added.
