Automobile restorer David Grainger…

Automobile restorer David Grainger joins ‘Show and Shine’ at Centennial College

Canadian TV personality David Grainger of ‘Restoration Garage’ will be at Centennial College on Sunday, June 5 as part of the college’s ninth annual “Show and Shine” auto show in Scarborough.

On display will be vintage, custom and tuner cars, trucks and motorcycles owned by Centennial employees and graduates, as well as members of the public. David Grainger, who operates the Guild of Automotive Restorers in Bradford, will be displaying an example of an immaculately restored vehicle.

Centennial is marking its 50th anniversary as Ontario’s first college, which includes Canada’s largest transportation technology training centre at Ashtonbee Campus.

The day includes a barbecue, DJ, sponsor booths, airbag demonstrations, show prizes and plaques. Proceeds from a 50/50 draw will be directed to The Lesley Russell Scholarship, established to aid college students coping with serious illness.

Show and Shine admission is free. Members of the public are invited to display their own vehicles of interest (display fee is $10 per vehicle, which includes lunch, t-shirt and prizes).

Gates open at 7:30 am and close at 4 pm.
