Transit Inc. has opened a new distribution centre in Calgary, expanding its national network to improve service for auto parts stores and jobbers across Western Canada.
Located at 1820 100 Ave NE, Unit 155, the 40,000-square-foot facility adds to the Canadian distributor’s footprint and is part of a growth plan focused on delivering more speed, more selection and more support to customers. The Calgary site is the company’s third warehouse launch in 10 months.
“This new distribution center represents a major step in our commitment to Western Canada,” said Simon Bourque, COO and general manager at Transit. “It allows us to bring our renowned brands and parts nationally and closer to our partners from B.C to Manitoba”.
The company’s announcement noted that the added capacity will help shorten delivery times and broaden product availability for customers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The company positioned the opening as a milestone in its coast‑to‑coast strategy to support independent jobbers and auto parts retailers with faster fulfilment and deeper inventory coverage.
The new warehouse follows recent investments in logistics and distribution, aimed at improving order turnaround and providing better access to core and specialty product lines. Transit said the Calgary facility will also enhance support for local and regional retailers who need predictable replenishment and rapid response for high‑demand parts.
