Tire dealers to discuss new Ontario…

Tire dealers to discuss new Ontario regs at convention this week

Ontario’s new scrap tire regulations, coming into effect Jan. 1st 2019, will come under the microscope at the Tire Dealers Association Canada’s National Convention and Trade Show in Mississauga, Ont. this week.

TDAC executive director Bob Bignell says a presentation and Q&A session are necessary given the impact the new regulations will have on all service providers of tires in Ontario.

The event, to be held at the Delta Marriott Airport Hotel and Conference Centre, starts Thursday with regional and national meetings followed by “the President’s Reception.”

Friday will see a Hall of Fame presentation, followed by the opening of the trade show.

The event wraps up on Saturday with group meetings, the scrap tire forum, and a closing dinner.

Hosted by the Ontario Tire Dealers Association, the event will feature dozens of industry exhibitors. This year’s theme is ‘Taking Care of Business.’

More than 6,500 complimentary tickets have been distributed to tire dealers, new car dealerships, and automotive service providers, said TDAC president Richard Bender.

“The Greater Toronto area is Canada’s largest automotive market and will provide convenient access to a great number of dealers.”
