TIA Announces TIA On-Line University

In order to further solidify the position as the industry leader in tire technician training and education, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) is offering all of their 200-Level Basic, and 250-Level Advanced Training Programs in a web-based format at the TIA On-Line University. The traditional TIA video and workbook programs are transposed to an electronic learning management system that precisely tracks the progress of each technician, allowing them to engage and learn the material at their own pace.

The On-Line University includes knowledge checks throughout each module keeping the student engaged in the content while increasing their retention. After all of the modules have been accessed and completed the student is allowed to take the final exam. Trainees must fulfill the skills demonstration requirement in addition to passing the exam to successfully complete the training.

The On-Line University also includes a management function, allowing company administrators to access real-time data, and view the progress of each employee that accesses the training program they are required to complete. Also, the data can be exported as an Excel spreadsheet allowing for the compatibility with most HR software programs.
