Spectra Premium Receives New Packaging Showcase Award For Redesigning The Ford Ranger Family Fuel Tank Strap Sets

Spectra Premium Industries has announced they have received the New Packaging Showcase Award, in the Economics category at AAPEX 2013. They were recognized for the redesigned Fuel Tank Strap set for the Ford Ranger family.

This year’s judges were comprised of members of PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, as well as the Packaging Machinery Technology magazine.

This new strap set design significantly reduces shelf space, saving up to 93% volume. The Tshape OE design prevented the strap sets to be stacked and properly shelved, causing inventory challenges at all customer levels. Spectra Premium’s new design transformed the T-shape into a disassembled designed, with an easy and fast 2bolt reassembly. This redesign not only saves shelf space, but allows easier transportation of the part and prevents damage during transit.
