Standard Motor Products expanded its gasoline fuel injection program, now offering more than 1,100 all‑new components, including gasoline direct injection (GDI), multi‑port fuel injection (MFI), and throttle body injection (TBI) injectors, along with related fuel system parts. The program also includes GDI high‑pressure fuel pumps, fuel feed lines, pressure sensors, regulators, dampers, and service kits, providing a comprehensive solution for modern fuel systems.
Standard fuel injectors match OE spray patterns and flow rates to help optimize fuel efficiency and engine performance. Manufactured in SMP’s IATF 16949‑certified facility, all injectors undergo extensive validation, including more than 35 tests covering endurance, thermal cycling, vibration, and flow performance. Recent releases include new GDI and MFI injectors for vehicles such as the 2020–2025 Nissan Frontier and 2021–2025 Subaru Crosstrek, along with multi‑pack offerings covering more than 31 million vehicles.
The program also includes more than 115 high‑pressure fuel pump SKUs designed for durability in high‑heat environments. Built with stainless steel components and high‑temperature seals, these pumps are tested both in the lab and on vehicles to ensure reliable long‑term performance across domestic and import applications. “The Standard Fuel Injection Program is constantly expanding as we are regularly adding new fuel injectors, GDI high-pressure fuel pumps and other related components,” said John Herc, vice president of vehicle control marketing at SMP.
