Hunters GSP9600 wheel balancers borrow from Hunters top-of-the-line GSP9700 Road Force Measurement System to provide a balanced combination of advanced features and service value. GSP9600 balancers feature a CRT interface that provides helpful graphic displays to make balancing procedures faster and easier. GSP9600 balancers also include patented SmartWeight balancing technology and the ServoDrive programmable drive system. Hunters new SmartWeight balancing technology is a revolutionary wheel balancing method that minimizes correction weight usage and maximizes productivity, saving money on both material and labor costs. This new method computes correction weights by measuring and evaluating the absolute or pure static (shake) and couple (shimmy) forces that cause vibration. Unlike traditional balancing, which . judges balance condition based on correction weight values, SmartWeight balancing uses the actual static and couple forces, which directly addresses the source of vibration problems. The ServoDrive drive system allows the technician to rotate the wheel in either direction and at variable speeds and torque, allowing complete control for precise weight placement and fast floor-to-floor cycle time. The GSP9600 QuickMatch model also includes a load roller system and Hunters QuickMatch match-mounting software. With each balance spin, the load roller measures the entire footprint of the tire for loaded runout and eccentricity caused by out-of-round tires and wheels. The QuickMatch feature then provides step-by-step instructions of exactly how to reposition the tire on the rim to minimize or eliminate vibration.
