Porsche offers free charging for electric Macan

Porsche Cars Canada announced a partnership with Electrify Canada to offer free charging for two years.

Buyers of the new all-electric Porsche Macan will get two years of complimentary charging at public Electrify Canada stations across the country. The benefit, included in the price of the new electric Macan, will allow owners to charge their vehicles at no additional cost at high-speed charging stations in Canada.

The Macan Electric will be available in four models, starting at $94,900 for the base Macan. Other models include the Macan 4 at $99,300, the Macan 4S at $106,900, and the high-performance Macan Turbo at $125,300.

Electrify Canada’s charging stations are located along highways and in major metro areas and offer fast charging with power levels of up to 350 kilowatts. This supports the Macan Electric’s 800-volt architecture, which enables a DC charging capacity of up to 270 kW. Drivers will be able to charge the vehicle’s high-voltage battery from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 21 minutes at a compatible station.

“Every Porsche is a sports car at its core, and the new Macan Electric is no exception,” said Trevor Arthur, president and CEO of Porsche Cars Canada. “The expanding Electrify Canada charging network will allow owners of the first all-electric Macan to experience fast charging while driving on some of Canada’s most iconic roads.”

Owners of the new electric Macan will be eligible for two years of complimentary 30-minute charging sessions from the date of purchase. To access this benefit, buyers can enroll in Porsche Charging Services at the time of delivery. The Porsche app and in-vehicle navigation will help drivers locate nearby charging stations, check availability and navigate to their destination.
