MOOG ‘Problem Solver’…

MOOG ‘Problem Solver’ Sway Bar Bushings Eliminate Wear Issues on Popular Minivan Models

Federal-Mogul has introduced two MOOG Problem Solver sway bar bushings that eliminate excessive wear issues and related front suspension rattle on popular Chrysler minivan models. The new MOOG bushings are available immediately through leading replacement parts distributors across North America.

The Problem Solver parts correct wear issues associated with the original sway bar bushings and other replacement designs for 1996-2007 Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager minivans. The material used in conventional bushings for these applications is susceptible to deterioration due to weather, road chemicals and other contaminants. In addition, the bushings for many of these vans may experience excessive movement within the bracket, further contributing to wear.

Federal-Mogul’s new MOOG Problem Solver bushings (Part No. K200601 – model years 2001-2007; K200600 – model years 1996-2000) are 17 per cent wider than the original parts for maximum support and performance and feature an improved locking groove design that prevents excessive movement within the bracket. These new bushings are manufactured in the U.S. from premium materials and include additional rubber content that provides greater flex and shock absorption while reducing material deformation and wear. MOOG product engineers matched the installation-slot location of the factory parts to speed installation and reduce side-to-side movement.

The new No. K200601 bushing for 2001-2007 applications includes a special I.D. wear adapter sleeve which, along with the part’s premium material, helps prevent damage caused by sway bar movement.
