Milwaukee Tool has introduced the M18 Fuel Striker hammer chisel, a cordless solution designed to replace long‑barrel pneumatic air hammers.
Engineered for suspension teardown and heavy component removal, the tool provides pneumatic‑level striking performance without requiring a compressor or air hose.
Powered by a brushless motor, the hammer chisel produces 7 joules of striking force, matching the output of leading long‑barrel pneumatic hammers operating at 145 PSI. The cordless design allows technicians to remove seized components, rusted fasteners and pressed‑in parts while maintaining mobility throughout the shop. A twist‑style chuck enables quick bit changes and supports all .401‑inch round shank accessories for compatibility across a range of applications.
“This level of performance allows technicians to confidently move away from air tools without sacrificing productivity,” said Ryan Mack, group manager of product marketing at Milwaukee Tool. “By delivering long‑barrel pneumatic striking force in a cordless solution, we focused on eliminating the frustrations of hoses while maintaining the power, consistency, and control technicians rely on every day in the shop.”
The tool features a variable‑speed trigger and three selectable modes, including a ramp‑up function that gradually increases impact speed to reduce slips and improve control during startup. Integrated LED lighting improves visibility in confined work areas, while onboard electronics help protect the tool and battery under heavy loads.
Milwaukee also introduced a five‑piece hammer chisel bit set and a protective rubber boot designed to improve durability and support demanding service applications.
