Michelin Canada Launches Bib Express Program

Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. has launched a rapid delivery program, Bib Express, designed to improve the ease of doing business for its Michelin Alliance retail partners. DT Tire, a Canadian distributor and expert in supply chain solutions, has been selected as Michelin’s national distributor and logistics partner to support this program. DT Tire will help Michelin Alliance retailers maximize sales through same-day, just-in-time deliveries.

“The tire industry is evolving rapidly in Canada. The increase in tire dimensions, as well as the speed at which that availability is required by consumers, can prove a challenge for retailers who need to have the right tire in stock at the right time,” says Harold Phillips, chief operating officer for Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. “Michelin’s new Bib Express program will provide Michelin dealers, and their consumers, with quick and easy access to all of Michelin’s car and light-truck tires when they need them. Using our B2B portal, Alliance retailers retain all of their benefits of our direct relationship, and also benefit from speedy deliveries. Bib Express is the first of several simplification initiatives currently in progress, with enhanced logistics services and other offers coming soon.”

DT Tire, a unit of family-owned Groupe Touchette based in Montreal, is a nationwide tire distributor with service in all major cities across Canada. DT Tire has a 35-year history of logistics, service and support of tire dealers across Canada.
