
The Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide has a new set of officers, elected at the society’s recent Training Event and Trade Show in Anaheim, Calif.
Andy Fiffick of Rad Air Complete Car Care in Cleveland, Ohio, will serve as MACS chairman and CEO.
Caroline Marks Acebedo of Marks Air in Tampa, Fla., will serve as MACS vice chairman.
David Jack from Denso Aftermarket Sales in Long Beach, Calif. was elected as MACS association treasurer.
Tanya Johnson of Johnny’s Radiator in Warren, Ariz., will be MACS secretary.
The MACS board of directors has 13 members.
Four members represente service and repair. They are Fiffick, Marks Acebedo, Jim Atkinson of Car Repair Company in Scottsdale, Ariz., and Johnson)
Four members represent the distribution segment of the industry (Randy Rankin of Ranshu, Steve Sunday of Sunair, Mark Schmitz of Global Parts Distributors, and Agnes Perez Morales of Auto Air Parts).
Four members representing manufacturing (Jack, Charlie Roberts of T/CCI Manufacturing, Al Leupold of Bergstrom, and Travis Williams of Honeywell).
Also on the board is the past chairman, Jim Hittman of Badger Refrigeration.
Each year half of the board members are up for election for a two-year term.
The board meets three times a year, once at the annual training event when officers are elected by the board, once in the spring to review MACS budget and finances for the next fiscal year and once in the fall.
