Ware’s Automotive and Industrial Supply Named Jobber News Jobber of the Year

Ware’s Automotive and Industrial Supply, based in Acton and Georgetown, Ontario has been selected as the 2016 Jobber News Jobber of the Year.

Ware’s Automotive is a NAPA associate and operates two stores. The first store, located in Acton, opened in 1996 and the second store was opened in Georgetown in 2010.

When asked about their recipe for success, Tim Ware explained, “We have an old-school philosophy; customer service is number one. We’ve built our business on service, that’s the number one thing that we’ve done. We had the same approach when we opened our Georgetown location,” he continues. “We got kind of lucky with that one as they did not have that type of service there when we opened, so we were able to build a successful business pretty quick.”

When it comes to managing his staff Tim says the number one thing is that the staff enjoy their work. “If you’re not having fun in your job you shouldn’t be there,” explains Ware.  “In our store culture everybody enjoys everybody. Our employees work for each other. Nobody throws anyone under the bus, we all stand behind each other and that goes a long way.”

Ware’s Automotive also runs a long standing (15 years) annual golf tournament with the support of local businesses to raise funds for cancer research.
