VOXX Electronics Announces Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

#aftermarket – VOXX Electronics Corporation (VEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation has announced the expansion of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) product line with the introduction of a new system that integrates two technologies; a backup sensor and camera into one device.  As well as the introduction of two replacement rearview mirrors allowing consumers to add safety features to their vehicles while still retaining the original factory look and feel.

Backup Camera/Sensor (ACA900) integrates technology from both a backup sensor and camera into one device increasing the safety benefits by delivering both video and audible warnings to the driver.  This camera features a 130-degree field of view and a 120-degree sensor angle that can detect objects and/or people that may move or walk into the path of the vehicle while backing up alerting the driver with both visual and audio warnings.  The ACA900 is designed to work with any monitor/screen with an RCA video input (sold separately) and will display the distance in feet/inches on the monitor when there is an obstruction behind the vehicle.  Also included is a 21-foot cable to connect to the monitor, and a 12-foot warning buzzer cable for back-up sensor warnings.

Replacement Rearview Mirror (RVM200) offers consumers an affordable OEM style replacement mirror featuring a 4.3” high definition color monitor.  When paired with a backup camera (sold separately) the RVM200 allows the driver to view the image in the mirror with adjustable backup guide lines.  This greatly improves the ability to see behind the vehicle, eliminating the “blind spot zone” and adds safety to vehicles that were not originally equipped with these features previously.  The mirror can be connected to any camera using standard RCA inputs, and includes mounting options for most domestic vehicles, as well as specific mounts included for Honda, Hyundai and Kia vehicles.  The RVM200 is compatible with PAL/NTSC systems and offers a 3 year warranty.

Replacement Rearview Mirror (LCDM41A) features an embedded 4.0” backlit LCD monitor that provides improved auto-adjusting brightness and contrast based on vehicle interior light level with optional auto-dimming features.  This mirror is designed and built to meet tough OEM standards to retain the original factory look and feel at an affordable price.  The LCDM41A displays selectable alignment overlay lines and offers added features of dual video input for additional camera’s and an audio input for camera’s equipped with a microphone.  The LCDM41A is compatible with any Advent/Audiovox hardwire camera and/or observation camera with RCA inputs (sold separately) for added safety benefits.  Interchangeable mounting feet are available to allow even greater installation versatility.  This will replace the LCDM40A and will use all available Advent mounting solutions fitting Ford, GM, Chrysler/Jeep mounts and includes adapters for Toyota and Honda vehicles.For more information about the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems visit: www.voxxelectronics.com
