Uni-Select Opens Another New Distribution Center in the U.S.

#aftermarket – Uni-Select Inc. has announced the opening of its new Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Avon, Mass.

The new 104,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, with its new ERP software is designed to optimize efficiency and provide greater product range and availability for customers in New England and Eastern New York. Customers in the region will have access to over 96,000 SKUs and over $9 million worth of inventory, available on a next-day basis. Operations at the new facility are handled by a team of 70 people.

The opening is part of the Corporation’s Action Plan unveiled on July 11, 2013, aimed at improving performance and delivering higher service rates. With this new warehouse, the second in the space of just one year following last January’s opening of a new RDC in Washington, D.C., Uni-Select will consolidate the region’s distribution activities, improve its product availability and deliver a higher level of service to its customers in the region.
