TRW Launches Premium Aftermarket Brake Program

TRW Automotive Aftermarket has launched a premium, all-makes disc brake pad program into the North American aftermarket.

The range offers the most suitable friction formulation for each vehicle application to optimize safety and performance. The product launch is the first for the organization following the formal announcement of its reentry into the North American automotive aftermarket.

TRW Automotive Aftermarket’s sales efforts in Canada are being represented Specialty Sales & Marketing.

TRW has used its engineering experience as a leading original equipment (OE) brake systems manufacturer to provide friction material for each specific vehicle make and model.

TRW’s pad range features the highest number of fitting hardware in the box, facilitating optimal installation and on the road performance, it says.

TRW’s friction material is made from a formulized mix of ingredients to facilitate a stable friction coefficient and optimized braking performance in hot or cold temperatures, at high or low speeds and under difficult or challenging conditions.

The TRW branded program comprises over 760 part numbers covering a vast majority of NA vehicles in operation. Providing a dominant offering of chamfered, slotted and shimmed designs, the range comprises ceramic and semi-metallic brake pad sets. For a quieter and more comfortable drive, TRW’s brake pads are fitted with premium shims which act as a damper between the friction material and the brake caliper.

The TRW disc pad program is the first element of a full corner module product offering designed for the independent aftermarket. Other product programs will be introduced on a rolling basis to the NA aftermarket, featuring a full line, all-makes, linkage & suspension program later in 2012.
