A technician from Quebec City has won the Canadian Eastern Region ACDelco Technician of the Millennium III contest.
Bruno Bellavance, a technician from Auto Diagno Centre Inc. in Quebec City, Que., will now compete in the ACDelco North American Finals with two other Canadian regional winners on October 24th in Las Vegas, Nev.
The winner of the Canadian Eastern Region Technician of the Millennium III finals held at the New Brunswick Community College, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Bellavance was the best of technicians from across Eastern Canada.

Central finals were held last weekend in Oshawa, Ont., with results yet to be announced, and Western finals will be held August 2nd in Vancouver, B.C. The winners from the Central and Western Region Finals, along with Bruno Bellavance, the Eastern Region winner, will compete against five finalists from the U.S. to determine this year’s Technician of the Millennium, and the winner of a brand-new Chevy Silverado SS truck.
The First Runner-up in the Eastern Region contest was Stirling Hall from Woodriver Valley Automotive Service Inc. in Irishtown, New Brunswick. The other Regional finalists were Jack Estey from Craig’s Auto Clinic in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Herman Chabot from Chabot et Fils Auto Electrique in Ste-Lazare, Quebec, Arkadiusz Mackowiak from Ray Roach Service Centre in Saint John, New Brunswick, Chris Scott from Chris Scott Automotive Ltd. in Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, Richard Boutilier from Craig’s Auto Clinic in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Alain Giroux from Beauce Mecanotech Inc. in St. Prosper, Quebec, James Perrot from Brown’s Auto Service in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and Rene Gosselin from Transmissions Ste-Marie Inc. in Ste-Marie, Quebec.
The competition is open to both Canadian and American members of the ACDelco Total Service Support program, which provides technical training and marketing support for Independent Service Centres.
The competition tests technicians’ diagnostic and repair capabilities through three phases of tests, before awarding the title of Technician of the Millennium III to the winner. This contest provides technicians with a great opportunity to demonstrate their technical abilities and showcase their ACDelco training.
