Parts Plus Names Hi-Tech as Recognized Supplier of Engine Parts

Aftermarket auto parts distribution group Parts Plus has announced today that it has recognized Hi-Tech Engine Components of Salt Lake City, Utah as an approved supplier of O.E. quality Engine Kits and Components, according to David Prater, director of product.
Beginning immediately, Parts Plus members will have the opportunity to distribute Hi-Tech’s complete product line. In Canada, the Parts Plus is operated as Auto Parts Plus under the direction of Uni-Select Inc.
“I am excited about the addition of the Hi-Tech line due to the tremendous range of gasoline and diesel engines covered. With engine kits for more than 15,000 applications, we will be more than doubling the number of kits available from Parts Plus autostores,” stated Prater.
“Hi-Tech offers the strongest engine parts program in the automotive aftermarket. The 30th Anniversary edition of Hi-Tech’s ‘Big Book of Engine Components’ contains 1,376 pages and features over 17,000 components, including 2,600 new parts for late model applications. Not only do we have substantially more coverage than our competitors, we also back it up with strong marketing programs and more than 95 percent order fill on 100 percent complete kits that are delivered on the next business day,” said Lonnie Mayne, vice-president of sales for Hi-Tech and a former sales manager for both Federal-Mogul and Timken.
"Parts Plus has created a unique program offering only the highest quality brands from leading manufacturers,” said Prater. “We see the addition of the Hi-Tech Engine Components program as one more step toward exceeding our customers’ expectations.”
Currently, there are more than 3,000 Parts Plus auto parts stores and Car Care Centers throughout the United States and Canada.
