Don Chase, president of Specialty Sales & Marketing, has announced the appointment of Gaetan R. Chevrier to the position of sales representative in the province of Quebec. He will serve the territory in the Montreal area and the South Shore including the Eastern Townships. He will report to Serge Leblanc, regional manager. Chevrier brings years of aftermarket experience to the position.
Snap-on/Sun Equipment Division has made changes to its sales management team. Cliff Young, previously national sales manager–Snap-on/Sun Equipment Division, becomes director of training for Snap-on Tools of Canada. George O. Pitt, previously director special projects–Snap-on Tools of Canada, has been appointed national sales manager–Snap-on/Sun Equipment Division. Alex McCarl, previously manager–emission program, has been appointed national product manager–Snap-on/Sun Equipment Division.
Terry McCormack has been promoted to president of Wix Filtration Products according to Larry McCurdy, president of the Dana Auto-motive Aftermarket Group. McCormack began his Dana career in 1973 and was most recently vice-president and general manager of the Wix business since 1996.
Visteon Automotive Systems has appointed Rick C. Meyer to the position of director of North American Sales for Visteon Global Aftermarket Operations. In this position, Meyer will be responsive for sales of Visteon’s aftermarket products including climate control products, interior and exterior products such as the NavMate Navigation System, CD6 Music Systems and Rear Seat Entertainment Systems, and dealer service parts. Meyer will report to Dave Peace, vice-president of Visteon Global Aftermarket Operations. Prior to his appointment, he ran his own consulting firm and, prior to that, was senior vice-president of national account sales for Exide Corporation.
Bernie Mabrey, director of marketing, North America for PPG Industries, has announced the appointment of William Shaw as director of marketing ICI Autocolor, North America. Shaw will be part of the ICI Autocolor Worldwide Brand Team reporting to Andrew Long, Global Brand Director. In this capacity, Shaw and his team will be responsible for ICI Autocolor’s North American marketing, training, customer service and Westlake efforts. Other ICI appointments include Mark Rapson, product manager, Collision, N.A.; Gillian Clarke, product manager, Commercial Transport, N.A.; Ann Donati, brand communication manager, N.A.; Kathi Minut, Color and Shopwatch marketing manager, N.A.; Al Ferrie, training and customer service manager, N.A.; Pete Donati, value-added programs manager, N.A.; and Colin Eldergill, marketing coordinator, Canada.
GOJO Industries has announced the appointment of Steve Pruett as vice-president of sales, Professional Automotive & Textile. He will manage activities in the professional segment of the aftermarket as well as the textile/rental facility market. Prior to joining GOJO, he had served as v-p U.S. sales for ACD Tridon and v-p sales, marketing and distribution for Hayden.
