Ottawa Shop Selected Award Finalist

Carquest Auto Parts has announced that Roy Rump of Roy Rump & Sons Tire & Auto Centre, Ottawa, Ont., was a 2001 Carquest Excellence Award Finalist and the only Canadian nominee to be afforded the honor.

“Carquest is dedicated to the independent shop owner,” Carquest president Art Lottes, III said. “Roy Rump & Sons Tire & Auto Centre is one of the very best in the U.S. and Canada at providing excellent automotive service to its customers.”

Bob Anderson of A.J.’s Auto Repair in Salem, Ore., was the 2001 Excellence Award winner. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the award, which is announced annually in conjunction with the Carquest Technician’s Advisory Council meeting. This was the first year Canadian shops had been invited to participate.
