“Preparing for Tomorrow’s Vehicle Technologies” will be presented by Chris Chesney, Carquest at AAPEX. The presentation, one of 24 education sessions featured in Inside Track: AAPEX Learning Forum, will be held 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 5 in the Venetian Hotel, Marco Polo, room 701. Chesney will discuss how today’s automotive service provider can prepare for the new technologies of the future. It is critical for service providers to plan ahead to ensure that their technicians have the skill sets required to work with these vehicles and equipment and the necessary business practices in place to manage their business and market to vehicle owners. This session will examine innovations that will emerge in the next few years including plug-in hybrids, fuel and emission advancements, electronic brake and suspension systems, clean diesels, telematics and new powertrain options. Attendees will learn how these technologies will affect their businesses and be able to create strategies for new challenges. All “Inside Track” education sessions are free to AAPEX attendees. No registration is required and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to reserve a seat. For more information, visit www.aapexshow.com.
