HELLA, Inc., the North American aftermarket subsidiary of automotive lighting and electronics supplier HELLA, has announced its new Concealed LED Lightheads for use in Optical Warning Systems. Designed for a wide range of vehicles, these new lightheads can be used as a direct replacement for Xenon bulbs or mounted on an exterior surface with an optional flange. They feature a pop-in design for easy installation in any vehicle.
HELLA’s Concealed LED Lightheads incorporate six LED lights per head and produce a high intensity light that remains cool to the touch. The unit has 19 different flash patterns to fit the customer’s specific application needs. Multiple units can be synchronized to flash simultaneously or alternately depending on the application or situation required by the user.
The LED Lighthead’s average operating current is 0.9A at 12.8V, but varies slightly depending on the flash pattern. These Lightheads operate at a voltage anywhere between 10-16 V and are reverse polarity protected. Available in either an amber color or white, the Concealed LED Lightheads come with a 5-year warranty.
