Meridian Automotive Systems, Inc. announced today that they have decided to close their Jackson, Ohio facility.
Richard E. Newsted, Meridian’s President and CEO, said, “Given its declining book of current business and minimal potential for new business, the Jackson facility is not projected to be financially viable going forward.
“This decision, while difficult, was necessary as part of our ongoing effort to continuously improve Meridian’s global competitiveness.” Meridian Automotive Systems, Inc. is a supplier of front and rear end modules, exterior thermoplastics and composites, lighting and interior systems to automobile and truck manufacturers and to the consumer and industrial products market.
The company operates 21 primary facilities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
