London Charity Tourney Calls for Participants; Raised $15,000 in 2011

Auto Parts Centres (APC) will be hosting its 4th annual golf tournament in London, Ont., in support of the London Health Sciences Foundation on June 14, 2012.

The staff and management at APC, a network of auto parts stores operated by Canusa Automotive Warehousing, believes strongly in giving back to their community and believe that the London Health Sciences Foundation has played a part in the lives of many of the families in Southwestern Ontario.

The London Health Sciences Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization established to strengthen London Health Sciences Centre’s ability to provide health care of the highest quality to patients in Southwestern Ontario and beyond. LHSF is committed to enhancing and expanding the health care resources of the community.

The 2011 APC Invitational Golf Classic raised $15,000 for the foundation that was allocated to the Department of Orthopedics in honour of APC Founder Bob Jones who has recently received a hip replacement.

To date the APC golf tournament has raised $33,000 to the LHSF in the past three years and has a goal to match the $15,000 that was raised last year in 2012.
