Pascal Litscher, president of import specialty distributor Altrom Group Canada, has announced his intention to step aside from the day-to-day operation of the family business and has appointed Scott Mountford as president of Altrom North America.
Mountford, who currently serves as senior vice president of the Altrom Group, will take on the new role May 1, 2009.
Litscher has been working with Altrom in Canada for the past eight years.
“It is my intention to step aside from the day-to-day direction of the Altrom Group and return to Europe with my family to take on new ventures and challenges,” Litscher stated in a letter to suppliers. “It goes without saying that I have appreciated the opportunity to work with you over the last eight years in the effort to grow and support your respective businesses. I have no doubt our team at Altrom will continue to work with you in the years ahead to accomplish that same mission. In the meantime, thank you for your loyalty and support over this time.”
Mountford has worked out of the company’s Vancouver office for the past four years, growing Altrom in the U.S. market. In addition, he has more than 20 years of aftermarket experience.
“For these reasons, we believe he is an excellent choice, and ready to lead our efforts in both Canada and the U.S. markets,” says Litscher, adding that he expects a virtually seamless transition.
Over the next several weeks, Mountford will be introduced to employees and suppliers.
