Hella Appoints Voss to Coordinate NAFTA Functions


Ralf Voss has been named senior executive vice president for Hella KGaA Hueck & Company’s electrical and electronics division.
Voss will be responsible for development and manufacturing of driver-assistance systems, as well as body electronics.
He also will coordinate the division’s NAFTA activities.
Prior to joining Hella, Voss was engineering director for DaimlerChrysler’s body and safety electrical/electronics systems for all Chrysler Group vehicle programs, including Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge.
While at DaimlerChrysler, Voss served as a member of the supervisory board of First Sensor Technology from 2000 until 2003, in Berlin, Germany.
A physicist, Voss holds a master’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University and a doctorate in natural sciences from the Free University of Berlin.
Hella, a global supplier, develops and manufactures components and systems for lighting and electronics for the automotive industry, including advanced driver-assistance systems enhancing safety and comfort.
In addition, joint venture companies produce complete vehicle modules, air-conditioning systems and vehicle-electric systems.
