Hankook Tire Canada Corp. has introduced a new long-haul drive tire, Hankook DL07. The DL07 incorporates the latest compound, tread and casing-design technology to provide longer mileage and advanced traction performance.
“Hankook medium truck tires are gaining great reputation as reliable and quality tires that perform extremely well while providing maximum value,” said Bill Hume, vice-president of Hankook Tire Canada. “The latest DL07 will strengthen this reputation as it features the latest technology that Hankook can offer in tread design, compound and construction. It is the tire that fleets and owner-operators must consider for the purchase of drive position tire for long-haul application with the need for long mileage and advanced traction performance.”
The long-haul tire features extra deep tread depth of 31/32nd inches for maximum removal mileage, aggressive tread pattern for improved traction capability, and new casing construction for durability and retreadability. Hankook incorporated the latest compound technology called IMS (Innovative Mixing System) to increase particle dispersion level and the bonding rate with carbon black to maximize wear resistance. In comparison with its previous product DL01, the wider tread design and deeper groove depth of up to seven per cent is expected to provide approximately 20 per cent longer mileage.
Currently, the DL07 is available in 285/75R24.5 with 14 ply rating and 31/32nd inch tread depth. Hankook Tire Canada plans to introduce additional sizes over the next eighteen months including popular sizes such as 11R22.5, 11R24.5 and 295/75R22.5.
