General Motors of Canada Plant Earns Gold In 2002 J.D. Power and Associates Quality Study

General Motors of Canada Oshawa Car Plant #2 placed first overall among all assembly plants in North America in the 2002 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study released today, winning the Gold Plant Quality Award. The Oshawa-built Buick Century won first in the premium mid-size segment.
Michael Grimaldi, president of GM Canada said, “This is a significant day for General Motors, GM Canada and the GM Autoplex in Oshawa. GM was the Highest Quality Domestic Manufacturer, placing among the Top 3 full-line manufacturers in this prestigious quality study.”
