General Motors of Canada Limited Provides $100,000 to the North Thompson Relief Fund

General Motors of Canada Limited pledged $100,000 to the victims of the forest fires raging through the Kamloops,
British Columbia area. The fires have destroyed the homes of over 1,000 people and an additional 7,500 people have been evacuated.
General Motors of Canada’s zone manager for British Columbia, Jerry Daniel, said, “General Motors of Canada has a long-standing commitment in helping out with national disasters of this scale. General Motors is a strong supporter of communities in need, and is a company that cares about communities across the country. We are proud to assist where we can.”
Daniels added, “Our General Motors dealers in Kamloops also have a heritage of community involvement and will be providing support to victims of the fires in various ways.”
General Motor’s dealers in Kamloops include: Smith Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cadillac Ltd. and Zimmer Wheaton Pontiac Buick GMC Saturn of Kamloops.
