Falken Tire Reports Strong Sales Increase in Canada, Credits Distribution

Falken Tire reports strong increases as a result of its relationship with distributor Hercules Tire Canada.
"In 2001, we started looking for distributors in Canada and, after going through a very selective process, we chose Hercules Tire Canada to do a professional job of promoting the Falken name," said Mike Lukavsky, account manager Canada, for Falken Tire Corporation.
"Thus far, it’s been fantastic. They have grown the business expediently and done a great job managing the Falken brand in Canada at all three distribution centres. In fact, Hercules Tire Canada has evolved into a full-line distributor of Falken passenger and light truck tires as well as wheels," Lukavsky said.
According to Rob Keller, vice-president of Hercules Tire Canada, "Falken is very active in promoting its products and brand. Falken tire sales have increased 400 percent versus the same period last year together, we have quadrupled the business."
Falken Tire, which is 100 percent owned by Sumitomo, has enjoyed great stability in terms of production, supply, technical support and product development which continues to move forward, according to Keller.
"Right now, the most popular Falken tire we sell is the Ziex ZE-512 because of its wide ranging applications. It’s available in H-, V- and Z-ratings, in a multitude of 35, 40, 45, 55 and 60 series sizes and rim diameters from 14 inches through to 18 inches," Keller said.
"As for Falken wheels, we are very pleased with sales results as well an increase of 70 percent versus last year. For the most part, these wheels are being installed on higher end vehicle conversions and more expensive pickup trucks and SUVs," said Keller.
"If the vehicle is designated for an H-,V- or Z-rated tire, then consumers should make sure they put that same speed rating on the vehicle. Don’t change to a lower rating," advises Keller.
