Du Pont Canada is taking on a critical role in the supply of NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair, an innovative developer and international supplier of auto rejuvenation products and processes.
The business unit of NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. announced a more extensive business relationship with DuPont.
Specifically, NeoMedia signed direct supply agreements with DuPont de Nemours (Belgium) BVBA and E. I. du Pont Canada Company, both subsidiaries of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, for paint sourced from Belgium and Canada, respectively.
NeoMedia has also signed a Letter of Intent with DuPont Canada, whereby DuPont Canada will assist with the facilitation of packaging, labeling and palletizing of NeoMedia’s automotive micro paint for sale by NeoMedia to its operations in China.
“It is very significant to our business that we purchase directly from DuPont, and have DuPont assist with the packaging for some of our products, in terms of cost savings and overall efficiencies in serving our clients,” stated Paul Grzebielucha, vice president and general manager of NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair. “There are many more opportunities for further development activity in the cosmetic car repair arena, and NeoMedia is continuing to pursue them.”
The original agreement between DuPont and NeoMedia Micro Paint Repair signed in December 2005 gave NeoMedia the exclusive distributorship of DuPont’s automobile refinish paint to China for use by Automart body shops, a Beijing-based joint venture (operating under the laws of the People’s Republic of China) that specializes in automobile sales, financing, insurance and repair.
In line with the original agreement, DuPont was recently awarded the supply of its products to an initial 30 Automart facilities in China. NeoMedia will distribute the DuPont products to these facilities, with which it has just completed training on its Micro Paint Repair System.
