For the past eight years, the Castrol SCP Auto Salon has risen to the occasion time and time again, delivering an all inclusive arena for top show car competitors to compete and top name manufacturers to showcase their wares. Scheduled for October 12th, 13th and 14th at the Olympic Stadium of Montreal, this years event promises to adapt once again to the fast changing landscape of the car customization market, and deliver an extravaganza unequalled by any other.
Castrol is proud to once again be the title sponsor of this annual event that celebrates the passion for high performance and car customization, says Marsha McLaughlin, marketing manager, Castrol Canada.
As the only National Custom Car Association (NCCA) sanctioned event in Canada, SCP continues to be the only event in North America that has been granted quad-point status.
The NCCA regards SCP as the premier destination for top car competitors from across the continent and draws show vehicles from as far as California.
Perhaps the most important feature of the event this year will be the highly anticipated follow-up unveiling of the Top Tuner Saturn Super Sky presented by Castrol.
After breaking various records last year with the presentation of the original Castrol Top Tuner Solstice such as best of show honours at the SEMA(Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) Exposition in Las Vegas, the same group of the best tuners in Canada worked together again to up the ante.
In production since February of 2007, this highly anticipated show car is set to be revealed on Friday October 12th, at noon in the Castrol booth.
Without a question, this project represents the whole of the Canadian tuner market embodied into a single super-vehicle.
