Bosch Announces Diagnostic System

Robert Bosch GmbH has announced the introduction of a full function automotive diagnostic system.
Bosch Diagnostics is touted as a one-stop solution for service garages facing the demands of advancing automotive electronics. Bosch Diagnostics combines test technology equipment and its software with service training and a hotline, making everything necessary for testing and diagnosing easily available.
The hardware component is divided into two systems.
The first system, “All Around the Wheel,” offers test tracks, brake test benches, axle measuring systems, hydraulic car lifts and tire mounting equipment.
The second system, “All Around the Motor,” offers broad coverage from the battery tester and charger to the new diesel test bench for common rail and distributor pumps. Bosch also offers the combination of parts and diagnostics via four product modules: electrical/electronics; fuel injection; diesel injection; and braking systems.
These modules serve to accommodate the various specialization levels of independent service garages and specifically address concept-oriented operations. Within these segments, Bosch offers an all- around, worry-free package that keeps up with the latest in automotive technology. With all this, Bosch Diagnostics becomes an integral partner with aftermarket and service garages offering both diagnostics and parts from one source. The Bosch structure provides a reliable information source that greatly reduces the complexities associated with routine service transactions. Bosch Diagnostics is currently available to service European and Asian vehicles, however, Bosch is actively pursuing opportunities to market the service in and adapt it for North America.
