Association Welcomes Back Former PR Manager

Denise Faguy has returned to Automotive Industries Association of Canada as manager, public relations.
Faguy held the post for several years previously before leaving about two years ago. Faguy will be working with AIA through a work contract with the firm that currently employs her, VentureLabour in Guelph, Ont. She replaces Lise Newton, who has left the association to pursue other opportunities.

"As a previous employee of AIA, Denise will use her former work experience and the additional resources of VentureLabour to quickly pick up the duties included in this position," says AIA president Ray Datt. "We are very pleased to have Denise back."

Faguy will be responsible for developing and implementing communications programs for the association and providing public relations support to association staff and volunteers. This will include writing and overseeing all publications (printed or electronic) currently produced by the association. She will act as AIA staff liaison for the Public Relations Committee and for trade media.

Faguy will focus heavily on the development and implementation of a public relations and marketing program for the Canadian International Automotive Show "Accelerate Your Knowledge" to be held in Toronto, May 35, 2002. This will include a comprehensive electronic communications strategy with exhibitors and visitors.

In light of VentureLabour’s extensive experience in web strategy and e-commerce development, Denise’s responsibilities will also include developing and implementing AIA’s website strategy and electronic communications strategy, including the creation of content and day-to-day management of the site and all aspects of AIA’s electronic communications with members, including online promotion and online registration of the show.
