Appointments (July 01, 2005)

There have been a number of appointments at Grote Industries Canada. Mike Marchese has accepted the newly created position of national fleet manager, Canada. Marchese has spent the last 12 years with Grote, most recently as regional manager, Central Canada and prior to that as regional manager, British Columbia and technical specialist, Southern Ontario. Charlie Taylor has accepted the position of regional manager, Central Canada. This newly created region for Grote will include Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Taylor has spent the last 13 years with Grote, most recently as Technical Specialist Atlantic Canada and prior to that with an Aftermarket Distributor. Steve Henman has accepted the position of technical specialist, Atlantic Canada. Henman has spent the last 17 years in the automotive industry and was born and raised in Halifax prior to moving to New Brunswick. Pat Eades has accepted the newly created position of safety systems product manager. Eades has spent the last 11 years with Grote, most recently as technical specialist GTA, and prior to that as technical specialist Eastern Ontario. Jeff Lewicki in his position of director automotive sales, Canada, has added responsibility for all Western Canada sales.

OBITUARY

Pat Gorman,

Long time aftermarket personality Pat Gorman, founder of Pat’s Auto Supply in Grand Prairie, Alta., passed away Tuesday June 14.

Gorman had served in various capacities with the Automotive Industries Association of Canada over the years, including serving as its chairman for a term.

Gorman had been suffering from ill health for a number of years, but was able to see the 50th anniversary celebrations of the business in May.
