APPOINTMENTS (September 01, 2002)

John D. Grant, president and CEO of Grant Brothers Sales Ltd., is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew C. O’Brien as president of the Traditional Automotive and Heavy Duty Division. O’Brien was formerly vice-president, Gates Canada Inc., responsible for specialty markets, and joins Grant Brothers with more than 20 years of aftermarket experience.

PPG Canada has appointed Jean-Guy Rosa to the newly created position of manager of insurance relations, it was announced by Lee Smith, director, Refinish, PPG Canada. The position of manager of insurance relations was created to involve direct contact with all the key insurance companies in Canada in order to promote PPG’s added value programs such as the CertifiedFirst Network and MVP. Rosa hopes to build a strong relationship between customers and agents, adjusters and licensed staff members. The insurance ties will bring additional benefits to collision centers that embrace the concepts behind the CertifiedFirst Network and MVP.
