Andrew Cifranic of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC and Brian O’Rourke of Ford Customer Service Division were named co-chairmen of the Brand Protection Council (BPC) of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) at the group’s recent meeting in Detroit, Mich.
In their roles as co-chairmen, Cifranic and O’Rourke will assist in setting the council’s direction, agenda planning and conducting quarterly meetings.
Scott Emmer of Federal-Mogul Corporation and Sara Potter of Chrysler were recognized for their outstanding service as co-chair persons in 2007 at the meeting.
The 2008 BPC meetings have been scheduled for Wednesday, March 12; Tuesday, June 10; Wednesday, Aug. 20; and Thursday, Nov. 13.
The meetings in March, August and November will be held in Detroit, Mich, and the June 10 meeting will be held in Washington, D.C. in conjunction with the MEMA Legislative Summit.
The BPC focuses on all intellectual property and product compliance issues.
It is comprised of members from all three market segment associations of MEMA.
MEMA supports its members through its three market segment associations, Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), and Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA).
