AIA Canada announced it is partnering with the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) to extend SEMA’s scholarship program to Canadians. Canadian students can download the application form from the AIA Canada Web site (www.aiacanada.com) and submit it to the AIA Canada office. AIA will conduct a preliminary assessment of applicants and forward qualified candidates to SEMA for final judging. The deadline for submissions is April 28, 2006.
The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1984. Students attending a college, vocational or technical school received $1,000. University graduates and undergraduates with at least a first year standing in a four year program received $2,000 to $3,000.
