AAPEX 2004: Wednesday Town Hall Tackles Industry Image

This year’s Town Hall theme of "Repairing the Auto Repair Image" can expect to give the breakfast crowd something to think about on Wednesday, November 3.
Held at the Venetian Hotel, six outstanding individuals representing a new car dealer, the world’s largest motorist membership organization, an independent shop owner, a retailer, and manufacturers will comprise the panel onstage.
Kathleen Schmatz, Automotive Aftermarket Industries Association president and CEO, will moderate the 2004 Town Hall.
Panelists include:
Susan Deegan, president, Engine Lab of Tampa
Paul Devers, owner, Vin Devers Dodge, Sylvania, Ohio
Michael Klein, president, Murray’s Discount Auto Parts
Larry McCurdy, primary advisor, Cypress Group (which recently acquired the Dana aftermarket business)
John Nielsen, director, Approved Auto Repair Vehicle Acquisition & Consumer Information, American Automobile Association
Dennis Welvaert, president, North American Aftermarket, Mark IV Automotive/Dayco Products, LLC
The Town Hall breakfast meeting will be held from 7 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3 in the Venetian Ballroom, adjacent to the Sands Expo Center.
Early registration is recommended as last year’s Town Hall sold out early with more than 1,000 attendees.
