Charlie Main, founder of Sussex Auto Supplies, Sussex, N.B., and the 2001 Jobber of the Year graced our cover in August. His tale goes back through several eras in the aftermarket and was a well-read, well-received account of his unique experience. In Ontario, the government bolted the door long after the CFC horse had left, officially banning CFC refills. Also, Grote celebrated its centenary, Canadians received Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium scholarships, and technicians showed speedy repairs using wearable computers. On the autobody side, PPG introduced its Advanced Estimating Course. We also reported on the AERA Expo event.
