Impact of On-line Retailing Breakfast…

Impact of On-line Retailing Breakfast Adds High Profile Panellists

The AASA’s power breakfast at AAPEX has added some strong panellists for its online retailing focus.
Randy Buller, founder of The Parts Authority, a major warehouse distributor with a growing online sales and fulfilment business, will join Shane Evangelist, CEO of U.S. Auto Parts Network and Steve Frazier, vice president – auto and industrial, Amazon.com, for an in-depth discussion of the impact of online marketplaces on the automotive aftermarket.
The 2010 Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) Executive Breakfast is held during Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) 2010.
The annual AASA Executive Breakfast, “Aftermarket e-Tailing – Who’s Minding the Store?,” will be held 7 – 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2., at The Venetian, Ballrooms G-I. AAPEX is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 2, through Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas.
“The e-tailer channel is enabling easier shopping and comparisons for technicians and consumers. This presents a challenge to the aftermarket which must effectively communicate the value of branded products supported by full-service suppliers,” noted Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA. “We look forward to a deep dive into this subject with Randy, Shane and Steve, which will provide our Breakfast attendees with a more strategic perspective on doing business in this environment.”
From their various business perspectives, Buller, Evangelist and Frazier will address:
•Product comparison models
•Virtual vs. actual inventory
•The “buy online and pickup at the local store” model
•Pricing management
•Supplier and brand marketing/selling information in online stores
•Changing fulfillment models for traditional warehouse distributors
Ernst & Young is the exclusive sponsor of the AASA Executive Breakfast during AAPEX.
Tables of 10 can be reserved for $750; individual tickets are $85. Tables and tickets can be purchased online by clicking here.
Attendees can earn 0.1 CEUs through the University of the Aftermarket by attending the sixth annual AASA Executive Breakfast during AAPEX.
