Hankook Tire was recognized as a Supplier of the Year by General Motors at a ceremony recently in Orlando.
It was the first time Hankook has received the award, the tire company said.
“We are focused on building positive supplier relationships, bringing new, customer-centric innovations to GM and being the OEM of choice among suppliers,” said Steve Kiefer, GM’s vice president of global purchasing and supply chain. “The companies we recognize tonight not only have brought innovation, but also delivered it with the quality our customers deserve.”
“Acknowledged by our partners, this award is an additional proof point which testifies to Hankook Tire’s technology leadership and premium quality,” said Seung Hwa Suh, vice chairman and chief executive officer at Hankook.
