Gray Tools donates to school

Gray Tools has donated an Advanced Master Tool Set to the automotive program at St. Augustine Secondary School, supporting the program’s revival and rapid enrollment growth after being shuttered two years ago.

The donation includes a 42‑inch roller cabinet stocked with more than 350 Dynamic‑branded tools organized in foam trays to the Brampton high school. Gray Tools said the setup mirrors professional shop environments and helps reinforce proper workplace habits by ensuring tools are returned to their designated locations after each class.

St. Augustine’s automotive program was reintroduced under teacher Giovanni Rossi and Principal Sophia Maloney, beginning with a single small class. Just over a year later, enrollment has expanded to multiple classes with more than 20 students each, reflecting growing interest in skilled trades education.

“We are grateful to Gray Tools for their generous donation of tools and equipment that enhance our students’ learning experience,” Maloney said.

Gray Tools said the contribution aligns with broader efforts to address Canada’s skilled labour shortage by supporting hands‑on training at the secondary school level.

“Programs like St. Augustine’s are critical to addressing the growing skilled labor shortage across Canada,” said Dragos Baicoianu, marketing manager, brand and digital at Gray Tools. “As the country works toward ambitious nation‑building objectives, investing in trades education is more important than ever. That’s why Gray Tools is happy to support the development of future tradespeople by equipping them with the tools and resources they need to succeed.”

Gray Tools said the donation gives students early exposure to professional‑grade equipment while helping schools deliver practical, job‑ready training as interest in the automotive trades continues to build.
