Genuine Parts’ Motion Industries Buys B.C. Industrial Distributor

Motion Industries, the industrial distribution subsidiary of Genuine Parts Co., parent of NAPA Canada, has agreed to acquire the North American assets of BC Bearing of Vancouver, B.C.

BC Bearing is a bearing and power transmission distributor with 53 branches in western Canada and the northwestern U.S. The company has annual sales of C$185 million.

“The acquisition of BC Bearing allows Motion Industries to continue its expansion in Canada and the northwestern U.S., where we significant growth opportunities,” said Bill Stevens, president and CEO of Motion Industries, which is based in Birmingham, Ala.
