Charles Morin, a technician from Lebeau Vitres d’Autos in Gatineau, took first place in the Ontario regional “Best of Belron” windshield repair competition in Scarborough.
The win qualifies him to participate in the national finals in January.
The competition, organized by Belron, the parent company of Speedy Glass, featured three other Belron technicians from across Ontario: Olivier Lyon of Ottawa, Jason Wood of Stratford, and Cole Smith of Listowel
“I entered the Best of Belron competition to take on a new challenge while perfecting my skills at work,” Morin said. “I am very proud of myself, because in spite of the stress of the competition, I remained focused on the final objective, which is to achieve the two challenges in a timely manner while respecting the high standards of windshield replacement and repair at Lebeau Vitres d’autos.”
He said he looks forward to representing Ontario at the Canadian final in Montreal.
